TF1 strikes distribution deal with Videofutur
French commercial broadcaster TF1 has struck a new distribution deal with Videofutur, the Netgem-backed outfit that provides linear and on-demand services over public fibre networks.
The deal will see free-to-air channels TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Series Films and LCI distributed over Videofutur’s network along with on-demand content associated with these channels.
The agreement provides Videofutur subscribers with access to programmes available on catch-up from MYTF1 with extended distribution windows, some avant-premieres of shows and new functionalities such as casting, startover and network DVR.
TF1 said that the agreement reinforced the partnership between the pair, under which Videofutur already distributes TF1’s on-demand offering TFOU Max and pay TV channels TV Breizh and Ushuaïa TV as well as TF1 Studio content available on-demand.
