NTV+ CEO Demin leaves
Russian pay TV operator NTV+ has named Natalia Gorbunova as acting CEO following the departure of Mikhail Demin.
Demin left the company at the end of December on the expiration of his existing three-year contract.
Gorbunova was previously deputy CEO in charge of financial, administrative and legal affairs alongside HR, logistics and procurement.
Demin began his career with NTV+ parent company Gazprom-Media in 2014 as CEO of radio station Ekho Moskvy before moving to NTV+ as deputy CEO the following year. He was appointed CEO in January 2016, overseeing the operator’s expansion to the Russian Far East and its development of a hybrid platform, available via OTT TV as well as satellite.
In November, Demin was appointed as president of Russian broadcaster and telecom operator association the Media Communications Union (MKS), which he said at the time would be combined with his NTV+ role.
