Divan.TV launches on Roku TV and Amazon Fire TV

Ukrainian over-the-top video service, Divan.TV, has launched its library of 200 channels and 50,000 movies on Roku TV and Amazon Fire TV.

Divan.TV founder and board chairman, Andrew Kolodyuk, said the rollout “means we can offer our diverse content library to an even larger audience and be present in more homes in the US, Europe, and across the world.”

The OTT service, which launched seven years ago, already claims to have two million users around the world, with Divan.TV available on smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and platforms like Android TV and Apple TV.

Divan.TV offers Hollywood movies alongside channels such as Euronews, France 24, FashionTV and Nickelodeon. The company recently announced ambitious plans to ‘tokenise’ its offering, creating a new blockchain-enabled version of its platform.

Dubbed Divan.TV 2.0, the company said this version of the service aims to “eliminate intermediaries and benefit users, content owners, and advertisers” and is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
