Ofcom names Sophie Morgan to content board
UK media and telecom regulator Ofcom has named TV presenter and entrepreneur Sophie Morgan to its content board.
Ofcom’s content bard is a committee of the main Ofcom board that as advisory responsibility for a wide range of content issues, including the regulation of television, radio and video-on-demand quality and standards.
Morgan is lead presenter of live Paralympic sport on Channel 4, and has presented events including the 2016 Rio Paralympics and the 2017 Winter Paralympics. She has also presented a range of other programmes such as Unreported World, Tricks of the Restaurant Trade and Best Laid Plans.
Morgan, who was paralysed from the chest down aged 18, has twice been voted one of the top 100 most influential people with a disability in the UK and is a patron of the charity Scope and an ambassador for Human Rights Watch, has joined the content board for a three-year term.
