ABC News heads for Hulu’s Live TV

ABC’s News Live Service will now be available on Hulu’s Live TV service.

ABC launched its service in May and expects with the Hulu launch that viewers will soon be streaming more than one million hours a week on the service.

The news streaming space is getting increasingly crowded, with Fox Nation today set to for a launch date in late November and NBC News has announced its NBC News Signal streaming service set to arrive next year.

Hulu launched its Live TV Service in beta in May 2017, hoping to offer more than 50 live and on-demand channels for US39.99 per month.

It currently has deals in place with CBS, Fox and NBC, as well as sports broadcasters like CBS Sports, ESPN and Fox Sports and entertainment broadcasters such as National Geogrpahic, TBS, USA Netflix and Viceland.

On launch, Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins described the new service as “an exciting new chapter for Hulu” and as a “natural extension” of its business.
