Xiaomi launches Mi Box S streaming media player

Xiaomi has started taking pre-orders in the US for its new Android TV streaming media player, the Xiaomi Mi Box S, which is capable of playing 4K and high dynamic range content.
The device will run on the latest version of Android TV 8.1, comes with a Google Assistant Remote and can be used to access apps like Netflix, Vudu, YouTube and SlingTV.
The Mi Box S is available from market priced at US$59.99 and is due to start shipping later this month.
