KPN splits consumer and business commercial management

KPN has announced a series of management changes that will see the Dutch telco manage its operations through an executive committee and split the role of chief commercial officer in two.

The CCO role will now be split in consumer and business market roles, which the telco said would result in clear end-to-end responsibilities and a dedicated customer focus in the consumer and business segments.

In anticipation of these changes, Frank van der Post, currently member of the board of management and CCO, has agreed with the supervisory board to step down on September 15, a few months prior to the end of his term early next year.

KPN’s board of management will then consist of three members: Maximo Ibarra (CEO), Jan Kees de Jager (CFO) and Joost Farwerck (COO).

Jean-Pascal Van Overbeke has been named as chief consumer market, effective as of September 1. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of KPN’s consumer activities and report to Ibarra. Next to his role as CEO, Ibarra will temporarily assume the position of chief business market, in which he will oversee the day-to-day operations of KPN’s business activities.
