UPC Poland adds Polsat premium sports channels
Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Poland has added premium sports channels from Polsat to its programming line-up, giving subscribers access to UEFA Champions League and Europa League football ahead of today’s kick-off the 2018-19 Champions League season.
UPC has added Polsat Sport Premium 1 and 2 and four Polsat Sport Premium pay-per-view services to its line-up, making all Champions League matches available live to its subscribers, starting with today’s play-offs.
The Polsat channels will be available on the Horizon Go mobile service as well as the main TV.
Robert Redeleanu, CEO of UPC Poland, said that the deal would enable UPC’s customers to watch the Champions League and Europa League iin high quality for the next three years, complementing other sports available on the platform including Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga football.
Pay TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat has meanwhile launched a series of mobile internet offers bundling LTE broadband with its Champions League and Europa League coverage.
The operator is providing new customers with an opportunity to sign up for a PLN50 (€12) a month package including six months’ free access to the Ipla Polsat Sport Premium package. Those signing up for a PLN90 package with 100GB of data will receive the Ipla Polsat Sport Premium package with Polsat Sport Premium 1 and 2 bundled in to the subscription price.
