QYou Media brings eSports format to Instagram TV

Youth broadcaster QYou Media has extended the reach of its HUD eSports format by launching HeadsUpDailyTV on Instagram’s new IGTV platform.

HUD covers eSports and video game culture. It launched last year with QYou media licensing it to World Poker Tour Distribution USA and making it available on Super Channel’s GINX Esports TV Canada.

New HUD episodes will now be available on IGTV each weekday in mobile-optimised vertical video format. QYou Media said the launch will “dramatically bolster” HUD’s global reach and create new sponsorship opportunities.

“eSports is a growing phenomenon and one that HUD has a leading edge on as one of the major sources of entertainment and news surrounding the players and tournaments,” said Curt Marvis, CEO and co-founder of QYou Media.

HUD is most popular with younger, mobile-first audiences and therefore bringing the format to channels like IGTV is crucial to expanding the audience reach. Instagram just hit 1 billion active users this month, providing huge potential to grow the HUD audience and drive sponsorship opportunities in the future.”
