PΫUR upgrades homes in Wiesbaden
German cable operator PΫUR – the brand name for Tele Columbus Group – has upgraded some 3,500 homes in Wiesbaden, providing 1GHz bandwidth for a basic internet service without the need for additional payment.
PΫUR has extended its supply agreement with local housing association the Gemeinnützige Bau- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Wiesbaden 1950 – Geno50 – and has modernised the networks as part of the contract extension agreement.
PΫUR has also connected an additional 426 apartments in the city to its fibre network. For a further 410 apartments, the operator is implementing a hybrid supply solution that will enable the homes to use return-channel services such as cable internet and telephony for the first time.
The supply agreement with Geno50 now includes a basic internet connection without additional payment.
Tele Columbus is also extending the PΫUR brand to Hamburg-based subsidiary Wohnen & TeleCommunication Verwaltung (WTC), which has been part of the group since 2015.
