Go90’s former general manger joins Massive
Chip Canter, the former general manager of Verizon’s millennial-focused Go90 video service, has joined Massive Interactive – a platform provider and user-experience specialist for the OTT market.
Canter, who left Verizon in 2017, has joined Massive as global chief revenue officer and brings more than 20 years of strategy, business development, and product expertise to the role.
Based out of Massive’s New York office he will focus on leading Massive’s global sales, business development and marketing growth strategy. He will also work closely with the product team on the company’s market offering.
Before joining Verizon, Canter worked at NBCUniversal for more than a decade, holding several executive positions, including senior vice-president of product and business development for NBCU’s Digital Distribution Group. He also previously worked as an adviser to Shazam.
“Few people understand our market landscape and technology environment like Chip does,” said Massive CEO, Ron Downey. “He has dealt with the pressures faced by OTT businesses and has first-hand experience working with global media companies. Chip joins us at a time of great growth and change and there’s no doubt he will prove to be a valuable asset in helping Massive double down on its recent success.”
Canter said: “Massive has the best product proposition for helping broadcasters, content owners, mobile operators and telcos give their video customers what they want in more engaging packages, and the company’s approach to personalisation and flexible real time UX management has helped it go from strength to strength in recent years.”
