Peace TV taps Vision247 for multiscreen distribution

Hybrid TV technology platform provider Vision247 has launched applications for smart phones and a desktop interface for Peace TV Network, an international Islamic TV channel broadcasting in multiple languages and featuring Islamic orators and scholars.

The service supports live TV, video-on-demand, catch-up TV in English, Urdu, Bangla and Chinese, an EPG and VOD metadata enabling community-generated ratings and recommendations.

Peace TV OTT service is available via iOS and Android smart phone applications as well as a desktop front end. The 24-hour channel is free-to-air and available globally.

Peace TV will broadcast live feeds from Mecca during Ramadan, enabling the channel’s viewers to follow its programmes wherever they are.

Vision247 and Peace TV are planning to expand the offering to smart TV and set-top box applications in the near future.
