Wind Vision carrying Viasat World channels
New Greek TV platform Wind Vision has added three channels from Viasat World to its programming line-up.
The Greek pay TV service, operated by telco Wind Hellas, is offering Viasat History, Viasat Explore and Viasat Nature as part of its line-up.
The addition of Viasat History will bring programmes including The Real War of Thrones, The Sultan and the Saint and Nicolas & Alexandra: Russia’s Last Royals to Wind Vision viewers, while Viasat Nature will include in its line-up Deadly Australians and Talk to the Animals. Viasat Explore’s schedule includes shows such as Stunt Science, Carp Wars and Man at Arms.
“We are committed to bringing to the Greek market the content viewers are craving and are delighted to expand Viasat World’s presence, adding our flagship factual channels to the newly launched Wind Vision service. Our mission is to stay close to our operator partners, and understand their needs, so we can continue to give them world-class content that is relevant to their customers,” said Tamas Horvath, commercial director at Viasat World.
“Wind Vision is the most advanced TV and video platform in Greece and we believe it will be a game changer in the Greek market. It is cutting edge, not just on a Greek but also at a global level. With the addition of Viasat Explore and Viasat Nature, as well as the acclaimed Viasat History channel, we enrich our documentary programme, adding new, quality content options for our subscribers who are interested in wildlife, animals, discoveries and science, as well as historical documentaries and qualitative re-enactment shows. This addition is of great importance in our customer promise to present highly attractive content in a unique TV experience and marks the beginning of our cooperation with the global network of Viasat World,” said Hermann Riedl, chief strategy and digital transformation officer at Wind Hellas.
Wind Hellas launched Wind Vision in April, using a technology platform supplied by Zappware and Android TV set-top boxes.
The service, which also offers access to Netflix, comprises about 60 international channels as well as domestic TV services and premium sports offering Nova Sport. Wind Vision provides two packages – a family pack without sports for €9.90 and a full package including premium sports for €24.90.
The service is available to all Wind Hellas fixed-line subscribers. The company has about 600,000 fixed customers.
