EBU names business arm chief

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has named Marco Tinnirello as CEO of Eurovision Media Services (EMS), the public broadcasters’ organisation’s business arm.

Tinnirello previously worked as managing director for Encompass Digital Media in the APAC and EMEA regions where he led teams in both Singapore and Europe.

At the EBU he replaces Graham Warren who retired this month. Tinnirello will take up his post on July 1.

Tinnirello began his career in media broadcast at Globecast UK where he led data services, corporate IT and the development of satellite data services. He also worked at Arqiva for over eight years in a number of leading operational, technical and commercial roles including head of sales for digital cinema.
