Telenet CFO to leave in June
Liberty Global-backed Belgian cable operator Telenet’s chief financial officer Birgit Conix is to leave the company at the end of June.
Conix, who has served as CFO for five years, is joining tourism group TUI Group.
Telenet said it had begun the process of searching for a new CFO. Conix played an important role in the development of Telenet’s recent three-year plan, which included the acquisitions of mobile operator BASE and SFR BeLux.
“I have very much enjoyed working at Telenet over the past five years. Together with my colleagues, I was actively engaged to drive Telenet’s business and financial growth. The integration of BASE, the optimization of our cost structure, working capital and financing cost, as well as the search for opportunities to continue to finance our investments and acquisitions, will always remain in my memory,” said Conix.
“Telenet is well positioned to address the challenges from an ever-changing media and telecoms landscape. I am, therefore, more than confident that my colleagues of the Senior Leadership Team and the entire Finance Team will achieve the financial objectives for FY 2018 and beyond.”
