Forces Network taps Simplestream for new TV player

Services Sound & Vision Corporation’s Forces Network, which provides radio and TV services for the UK armed forces, has tapped technology outfit Simplestream to build a multiscreen TV player for its BFBS TV and radio services.

The BFBS TV Player will provide live streaming access to free-to-air and premium channels on the web and on iOS and Android devices.

The player will be built on Simplestream’s Cloud TV white-label platform. Functionality includes support for unlimited live channels, automated catch-up with backwards scrolling EPG and comprehensive user and entitlement management.
