Edwige taps Arkena for Edgy TV European launch
Canadian online magazine Edwige Magazine has tapped Arkena for the launch of its Edgy TV channel in the European market.
The female-skewed channel, which covers music, fashion, beauty, decoration and current trends and is aimed at 20-65 year-olds, launched on Luxembourg operator Post Télécom’s TV service in December.
Arkena is supplying content management services for the preparation of Edgy TV’s programming, encompassing transcoding, storage and security.
Edgy TV is also using Arkena’s playout services for its distribution in Luxembourg.
According to Arkena, Edwige Magazine plans to expand the channel’s reach across Europe with other telecom operators.
“By leaving all technical aspects to a trustworthy provider such as Arkena, we were able to save time to focus on our job, the editorial. Arkena has proved to be a true partner, and we would like to congratulate the technical teams who accompanied us throughout this project, from the preparation of the content, to the launching of our channel,” said Edwige Dazogbo, managing director of Edwige Magazine.
