Eleven Sports launches 4K service in Poland
Sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has launched a 4K UHD version of its flagship channel in Poland in partnership with Orange Polska.
Eleven Sports 1 in 4K will offer coverage of Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A and Ligue 1 football and Formula One motorsport among other sports properties.
The channel will be available to Orange’s IPTV subscribers equipped with a 4K decoder exclusively for the first six months and will be included in Orange’s Bogaty and Maksymalny.packages.
The launch of the channel follows the launch of Eleven’s fourth channel in the Polish market earlier this week. Eleven Sports 4 is being offered exclusively to pay TV platform nc+’s subscribers for the first three months. The move led the broadcaster to rebrand its existing portfolio of services in Poland with the channels previously known as Eleven, Eleven Sports and Eleven Extra being rebadged as Eleven Sports 1, Eleven Sports 2 and Eleven Sports 3 respectively. The new channel offers content from Eleven’s portfolio of rights that it did not have space to cover on its other channels.
“Eleven Sports constantly strive to be at the forefront of technological development to ensure we offer the best possible viewing experience for sports fans,” said Danny Menken, group managing director, Eleven Sports.
“We already offer dedicated fans an award-winning service in Poland and we’re delighted to develop our offer – enabling subscribers to watch their favourite sporting action in 4K.”
