Vectra launches off-net viewing of online TV
Polish cable operator Vectra has launched a free online TV option allowing its digital TV subscriber to watch up to 100 TV channels on their mobile devices, including while they are outside Vectra’s own network.
The TV Online offering provides 125 channels in total, of which 100 are available for viewing while users are outside the Vectra network area. The service is available via mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.
The offering includes sports channels Eurosport 1 and 2, the Eleven Sports package, over 20 movie channels and a wide range of kids channels including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
Vectra said its TV Online offering is “one of the most advanced…on the Polish market” and said it would continue to add more channels, including for out-of-home viewing.
Vectra is marketing the service in tandem with a new mobile telephony offering. The company has launched a service with8 a 5GB data plan for PLN19.90 a month, including unlimited mobile calls and texts.
Vectra has about 963,000 customers across 384 Polish towns and cities.
