ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery partner on German streaming service
ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery Communications have launched an ad-supported entertainment streaming service in Germany.
The joint venture offering is available on the existing ProSiebenSat.1 7TV digital platform and app and brings together nine of the most popular terrestrial TV channels in Germany.
ProSieben and Discovery said that a broad range of original and premium TV shows will be available free of charge – live and through catch up – with more content to be added over time.
The companies are also currently searching for a CEO to run the joint venture.
Viewers will be able to access Discovery’s free to air channels DMAX and TLC, as well as the popular channels ProSieben, SAT.1, Kabel Eins, Sixx, ProSieben MAXX, SAT.1 Gold and Kabel Eins Doku.
