Disney ups Endemaño to expanded distribution role
Walt Disney International has given EMEA executive Mark Endemaño the expanded role of senior vice president, media distribution.
Endemaño now adds all of Disney’s international regions – North and South Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Russia and Latin America – to his current portfolio of markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Effective immediately, Endemaño is responsible for the design and implementation of commercial strategies for the linear TV and digital distribution of all of The Walt Disney Company’s media assets internationally.
This covers: Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies; ABC Studios, Marvel and Freeform series; Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior channels and programming; ABC News programming; as well as music, mobile, games and interactive content across all platforms.
Endemaño remains based in London but will now report into both Walt Disney International chairman, Andy Bird, and president of The Walt Disney Company EMEA, Diego Lerner.
“The expansion of Mark’s role will enable us to harmonise our strategies and approach with existing and future partners around the world. I’m sure that Mark will apply to our international business the same strategic acumen and passion for our programming that he has done so ably in his current EMEA role,” said Bird.
Endemaño said: “We are in a period of immense and exciting change in how our fans consume our great content; it’s essential we are future-focused in how we work with both our partners and directly to audiences.”
