Eleven Sports agrees Polish Bundesliga deal with Nc+

Eleven Sports has agreed to exclusively sublicense selected Bundesliga matches to Nc+ in Poland, after securing a final rights package for top-flight German football.

Eleven acquired the 6.30pm Saturday Bundesliga match, the German Supercup and the four relegation play-offs from Bundesliga International on an exclusive basis in Poland.

Canal+ has the rights to broadcast two games during 30 match weeks and three games during four match weeks from this season until 2020/21. The rest of the matches will be broadcast on Eleven Sports channels.

“So far this season we have seen huge demand for football on Eleven Sports. We aired up to 27 live matches every weekend during September and we had the number one and number two best performing sports channels in Poland on the opening weekend of the football season among viewers aged 16 to 49,” said Danny Menken, group managing director, Eleven Sports.

“We have a fantastic set of premium rights, including four of the world’s top football leagues, Formula One, Speedway and many more top sports properties. This sublicense agreement with Nc+ works for everyone – creating more choice for viewers and allowing us to manage our word-class portfolio more effectively.

“To ensure we continue to meet demand and deliver more live games to our viewers we are also considering launching a new channel this year with more details to follow.”
