Roku launches two new streaming players in UK
Roku is launching two new streaming players in the UK later this month – the Roku Express and the Roku Streaming Stick+.
The Roku Express will retail for £29.99 in the UK and is the “most affordable streaming player” it has rolled out to date in the country.
The Roku Streaming Stick+ is Roku’s first streaming stick that is capable of streaming HD, 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR) content at up to 60 frames-per second. It will retail for £79.99.
“The Roku Express is one of our most popular streaming players and we are excited to bring it to the UK. It is a great starting point for first time streamers or for people looking to extend the Roku experience to other TVs,” said Chas Smith, general manager of Roku TVs and players.
“Consumers will love our new sleek Roku Streaming Stick+ with an innovative advanced wireless receiver that gives up to four times the wireless range and a remote that controls TV volume and power. At £79.99, it makes HD, 4K and HDR streaming simple.”
The news comes a week after Roku unveiled five new streaming players for the US market – the second-generation Roku Express and Roku Express+, a new Roku Streaming Stick and Roku Streaming Stick+, and a new Roku Ultra.
The two new UK devices will be available online starting from October 19 and are expected to arrive in stores towards the end of October.
