Mirada and Anevia team up for OTT TV offering
TV technology provider Mirada and OTT and IPTV software specialist Anevia have teamed up to enable broadcasters and operators to develop OTT TV services.
The new offering integrates Mirada’s Iris multiscreen platform with Anevia’s NEA-DVR and NEA-CDN solution. Mirada’s Iris multiscreen platform has been integrated with Anevia’s Infinite and EDS technologies in order to offer services inclkuding live, start-over, pause live TV, catch-up TV and VOD as well as a full-featured cloud DVR service.
The pair said that their integration has been designed for geographically distributed architectures in order to match operators’ network topologies.
The joint solution makes use of native players and native DRMs, which the pair say allows the solution to target a range of different screens cost-effectively.
The system supports up to 4K quality for the main screen, and taps into the latest additions to the MPEG-DASH standard, including thumbnail scrubbing and trick modes.
Mirada’s Iris is a TV everywhere product that enables TV operators to publish and promote their content across DVB, DTH, IPTV and OTT networks.
