TVN extends reach of Player.pl with Onet deal

Polish broadcaster TVN is to make its Player.pl service available via the country’s leading internet portal, Ringier Axel Springer Media-backed Onet.pl, from tomorrow.

The deal between TVN and Onet.pl will see the TVN Player added to Onet’s free video-on-demand portal vod.pl. Technical support and advertising sales will be carried out by TVN itself.

Maciej Maciejowski, member of the management bo0ard for content distribution and business development at TVN, said that the partnership with Onet.pl would enable Player.pl to significantly expand its reach.

Maciej Ziąbrowski, advertising strategy and product research director, said that the move would enable the company to offer advertisers more reach around its premium content.

Player.pl reaches about three million users. The online TV service includes content from pay TV platform nc+ and a range of thematic channels. Sports content is available from Eleven Sports.
