Murdoch, Bradley and Clementi among RTS speakers

The UK’s Royal Television Society (RTS) has unveiled the line-up for its forthcoming Cambridge Convention.

The biennial event, which takes place in Cambridge from September 13-15, will feature speakers including 21^st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch, Ofcom CEO Sharon White, culture secretary of state Karen Bradley, BBC chairman David Clementi, and A&E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc among others.

The RTS Cambridge Convention 2017: A World of Opportunity will kick off with a presentation by Sky COO Andrew Griffith and managing director, content, Gary Davey.

Dubuc will offer a global perspective on operating a major media company in a session chaired by Jay Hunt, Channel 4’s chief creative officer.

Clementi will close the first day with the first speech he has given since being appointed in February.

Murdoch and White will headline day two. Bradley will speak later that day in a session chaired by Guardian joint political editor Anushka Asthana.

Other speakers will include BBC director of news and current affairs James Harding, Buzzfeed news chief Stuart Millar, YouTube EMEA director Ben McOwen Wilson, ITV commercial director Kelly Williams, Endemol Shine CEO Sophie Turner Laing, FremantleMedia CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz and Viacom International Media president and CEO David Lynn.
