Hispasat prepares for September Amazonas 5 launch
Hispasat’s Amazonas 5 satellite has arrived at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan ahead of it’s planned launch next month.
The satellite arrived aboard an Antonov cargo jet and is due to launch on an ILS Proton Breeze M launch vehicle in September.
Amazonas 5 will be located at 61°West and will provide video, internet and other services to Latin America. The satellite is designed to be in service for 15 years or more.
