Switzerland’s Sunrise agrees sports deal with Sky
Swiss service provider Sunrise has partnered with Sky to offer its customers sports content via the Sky Sport app,
Sunrise is offering TV and internet customers three months free access to the app, which lets users watch live sport including Champions League and Bundesliga football, ATP World Tour Tennis and Formula 1 racing.
The app is available across a range of devices and Sunrise said it plans to integrate the service into its Sunrise TV Box UHD by the end of the year.
“UEFA Europe, the Champions League, and the start of the Bundesliga season in Germany, are must-watch events,” said Sunrise CEO, Olaf Swantee.
“Thanks to our new partnership with Sky, Sunrise TV customers can now enjoy these and many other great live sports features. Sunrise now provides the best in the world of sports via the Sky Sport App.”
Separately Sunrise is launching new Teleclub offerings for its TV customers, bolstering its live sports coverage further.
Starting this month Sunrise will offer live sport with the Teleclub Sport HD package, which will be available free along with the basic Teleclub Movie HD package until the end of the year.
Teleclub Sport HD broadcasts all Swiss Raiffeisen Super League and Brack Challenge League football, along with top-flight football coverage from Italy, France, England and Portugal. It also broadcasts ice hockey, tennis, Formula 1, golf and handball.
