Sundance TV to debut in South Africa via DStv

AMC Networks International (AMCNI) – UK is due to launch SundanceTV in South Africa for the first time, via MultiChoice-owned operator DStv.

The 24/7 linear HD channel will go live on June 1 and be available exclusively to DStv Premium customers on channel 108.

“SundanceTV will offer a selection of award winning and locally appealing programming exclusively to audiences in South Africa,” said Louise Cottrell, vice president, affiliate sales for AMCNI UK.

“We’re excited to launch this premium channel for the first time in South Africa on the DStv platform, which reinforces our long-standing partnership with MultiChoice, Africa’s leading video entertainment provider.”

Sundance broadcasts independent films, world cinema, documentaries and original drama series.
