ProSiebenSat.1 public affairs chief to quit

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1’s EVP of communications and public affairs, Julian Geist, is to leave the company on April 30 to pursue new professional interests.

Ralf Peter Gierig, the broadcaster’s deputy group CFO, EVP group finance and investor relations, will take responsibility for the communications team on an interim basis.

Geist has served as EVP of communications for eight years, taking responsibility for public affairs strategy in 2013.

Julian Geist has accomplished a lot and has shaped our Group in many ways. With him, a long-time companion leaves our Company. After such a long career, I respect his desire for change and wish him all the very best for his future. Ralf Gierig will surely master his additional responsibilities and will even further leverage synergies with our capital markets team,” said Thomas Ebeling, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media.
