Rostelecom names strategy chief

Sergei Anokhin

Russian service provider Rostelecom has named Sergei Anokhin as senior vice-president, responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.

Anokhin will be charged with coordinating the implementation of the service provider’s development strategy as well as driving operational efficiency and transformation.

Anokhin previously worked for VTB Bank, since 2011 as deputy chief financial officer. He also has experience in the high-tech sector with SAS.

Anokhin’s appointment follows the naming of Mikhail Oseevsky as the new president of Rostelecom earlier this month, replacing Sergei Kalugin. Oseevsky, like Anokhin an alumnus of VTB Bank, where he served as deputy chairman, was appointed for a five-year term.
