Amino to showcase operator-focused Android TV device

Amino is due to showcase a new 4K UHD Android TV device aimed at operator-managed deployments at TV Connect next week.

The Amigo 7 is optimised and certified for operator-managed Android TV deployments and combines a quad core CPU with hardware-accelerated 3D graphics, voice navigation and search features.

The WiFi-enabled device will offers access to “hundreds” of OTT apps and is also integrated with Amino’s Engage service assurance platform.

“We’re seeing increasing demand from operators for Android TV capabilities – either as a standalone service or as a complement to existing entertainment delivery strategies. The Amigo 7 is a great addition to our portfolio – powerful, feature-rich and brilliantly packaged in a small and stylish form factor,” said Amino CTO, Mark Evensen.
