Cyfrowy Polsat extending SmartDOM offering
Polish pay TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat is extending its SmartDOM offering to encompass gas supply as well as electricity, home security and banking products.
SmartDOM customers already have the ability to combine the flagship offering of satellite pay TV and mobile internet and telecoms services with electricity supply, insurance and home security at discounted rates, as well as purchasing home electronics appliances at favourable prices.
From this quarter, customers will be able to subscribe to domestic gas supply at a guaranteed fixed price for the length of their contract, with invoices based on meter readings only. As with electricity supply, Cyfrowy Polsat TV and Plus mobile customers will qualify for special SmartDOM discounts.
The latest move follows the addition of home security monitoring to the SmartDOM offering in November last year. The servie is offered at a discounted rate for 24 months, providing a digital camera working with a smartphone or web application that allows users to check their home from any location. The service includes a motion detection and notification system.
SmartDOM customers can take banking services from PlusBank, a service offered via mobile arm Plus, while insurance services are provided by Ergo Hestia.
Users of PlusBank also quality for the purchase of household appliances at discounted rates with special credit terms.
Cyfrowy Polsat is kicking off a new advertising campaign to market the SmartDOM offering featuring local celebrities Joanna Brodzik and Pawel Wilczak. The campaign, led by Warsaw-based agency Scholz & Friends, will include TV and radio advertising as well as outdoor and internet marketing.
Other Polish service providers such as Multimedia Polska have also branched out to offer the supply of non-core products and services, including electricity, gas and insurance services.
