Sky Sports streams deadline day news via Twitter

Sky Sports is partnering with Twitter to deliver a global live stream of coverage of the English Premier League transfer deadline.

Sky is broadcasting live coverage from the Sky Sports Newsroom via Twitter at two points during the day and in the final hour before the transfer window for players to change teams closes.

Sky, which is also streaming to the Sky Sports website and app, said that use of live streaming for three separate hours on Twitter is designed to “drive fans from social media to follow the stories across the channel and other Sky Sports platforms throughout the day”.

Twitter COO Anthony Noto said that the company was “thrilled to collaborate with Sky Sports to give fans everywhere another way to watch and discuss the day’s top rumours and deals”.
