BeIN Media opens retail outlets across UAE

Qatar-based Middle East pay TV and media group BeIN Media has opened six retail outlets in the UAE, the home territory of its rival OSN, with plans to extend its retail presence to Abu Dhabi and further locations in Dubai in the next couple of months.

The operator’s first six retails outlets are in the Majid Al Futtaim Malls across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah. The shops are located in the Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Center, Mirdif City Centre, Sharjah City Centre, Ajman City Centre and Fujairah City Centre.

BeIN said it aimed to position itself as a family-friendly pay TV network and said it had chosen malls with the highest footfall frequented by families.

The company said it had provided trainsing to staff to “acto more like advisors for prospects who are looking for pay TV products” with a focus on “understanding customers needs and then recommending the fight product for them”.
