Volia opens new customer care centre

Ukrainian cable operator Volia has opened a new flagship call centre in the city of Khmelnytsky in western Ukraine.

Volia CEO György Zsembery said tha the new call centre was a strategically important project for the company, adding that developing its own in-house facility provided better results and had a better customer appeal than outsourcing.

Zsembery said that the company had received support from the local authorities in Khmelnitsky and that the city had great potential. Volia has invested about US$1 million (€900,000) in the facility, which will employ about 300 people in the city, with further investment expected in the future. The company said that overall it had invested UAH500 million (€17 million) in infrastructure and facilities this year.

Volia chairman Pierre Danon said that the latest investment confirmed the company’s willingness to continue to invest even in times of crisis.
