New CEO for Telenor Hungary
Telenor has named Alexandra Reich as the new CEO of its Hungarian unit.
Reich, who will take up her new post by November 1, succeeding Christoper Laska, will also be appointed executive vice-president of Telenor Group and will be part of the executive management team in the group.
An Austrian national, Reich previously served as EVP and head of mobile business for Swisscom Enterprise.
Laska has been appointed senior vice-president board governance and Partner Relations Asia and will support the board of directors in Telenor’s Asian business units.
“I am very pleased to welcome Alexandra Reich as CEO of Telenor Hungary and part of my management team. Her understanding of customers’ digital ambitions, her in-depth knowledge of the telecoms industry and her entrepreneurial drive makes me confident that she is a great addition to our team and will continue to take our Hungarian business forward,” said Sigve Brekke, president and CEO of Telenor Group.
“I have always closely followed the Telenor Group with great respect and was impressed by the innovation power and culture driving the company. After many years in telco, working with challengers in Germany, Austria and seven years with the Swiss incumbent, I felt it was time to take this exciting opportunity. My expertise has always been in marketing and sales and within the last years I have learned a lot about customer experience design and the power of customer centricity, especially in the digital world. I am very much looking forward to working with the team in Hungary and also being part of the Telenor Group,” said Reich.
