Altice appoints global chief data officer
Altice has appointed former Cablevision exec, Paul Haddad, as its global chief data officer.
Haddad, who joins with immediate effect, is tasked with creating and monetising a “world-class data analytics practice” across all Altice’s telecom and media subsidiaries.
He will launch local and global ad solutions, drive the development of products in each of Altice’s territories, and lead and expand Altice USA’s advanced data analytics business.
“The introduction of a focused data business is an important step in our strategy, which is based on the convergence of telecom, media, content and advertising, and enables us to build on our commitment to add value to our customers,” said Altice Group CEO, Michel Combes.
Altice USA chairman and CEO, Dexter Goei, added: “As a proven leader in the evolving advertising and data insights landscape, we are enthusiastic that Paul will continue to drive the ongoing development of the US data analytics business.”
Haddad brings with him more than 20 years of experience in big data analytics, advanced advertising, programmatic, optical networking, wireless backhaul, and network management.
He most recently worked as senior vice-president and general manager, advanced data analytics, at Cablevision. Prior to this he worked at companies including Concurrent Computer Corporation and Solusia Technologies.
At Altcie he will report to both group CEO, Combes, and USA CEO, Goei.
