Canal+ viewers to have access to Fnac’s Express+
Canal+ subscribers are to have access to retail chain Fnac’s Amazon Prime-like fast delivery service in a move that is seen as the first fruit of Canal+ parent Vivendi’s investment in the retail outfit.
Canal+ subscribers will benefit from the Express+ delivery service, which includes the delivery of goods purchased online within two hours in a number of major French cities. The Express+ service normally costs €49 a year.
Express+ gives Fnac customers guaranteed delivery of orders placed via the Fnac website in one day. The two-hour delivery service is available in Paris, Lille and a number of other cities.
The Express+ service confers a number of other benefits such as discounted tickets on line events, permanent discounts on a number of products including books and special invitations to events.
Vivendi took a 15% stake in Fnac in April as part of what it described as “a strategic partnership to launch a cooperation plan dedicated to cultural activities”.
