Vodafone Germany doubles internet speed in key cities
Vodafone Germany is doubling the available internet speed across parts of its network to 400Mbps.
From mid-June, Vodafone will offer up to 400Mbps downstream and 25Mbps upstream to four million households connected to its cable network.
The high-speed service will be available in major cities including Munich, Hamburg, Leipzig, Nürnberg and Saarbrücken as well as smaller cities including Bayreuth, Bergen auf Rügen, Chemnitz, Cottbus, Cuxhaven, Ingolstadt, Jena, Koblenz, Potsdam and Weimar.
The company said that the 400Mbps service would be available across 60% of homes passed by its network by the end of this year.
Vodafone already provides 200Mbps access to over 13 million homes via the former Kabel Deutschland network.
