Tele Columbus extends high-speed services

German cable operator Tele Columbus is upgrading the former Primacom network in the town of Schwarzenberg in Saxony in eastern Germany.

The operator has extended high-speed services to about 2,500 homes in the city after striking agreements with its two largest housing groups, SWG Schwarzenberg and WG Schwarzenberg.

According to the operator, the upgrade will be completed by the end of July.

The latest upgrade follows the extension of key housing group supply agreements in Saxony’s largest city, Leipzig, over the last year.
