BeIN to launch 4K Ultra HD satellite receiver in MENA

Pay TV operator BeIN has launched an Ultra-High Definition (UHD) 4K satellite TV receiver in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The new box offers DVR functionality and BeIN claims it is the first 4K receiver to launch in the MENA region.

The device launches ahead of this year’s Euro Championship football tournament, where BeIN will broadcast the opening match, all four quarter final matches, both semi-final matches and the final in 4K.

The matches will air on a dedicated channel called BeIN 4K.
