Proximus adds French-language kids channel
Belgian service provider Proximus – formerly Belgacom – has added French-language kids channel Studio 100 TV to its programming line-up in Wallonia and Brussels.
The channel, targeted at kids under 12, will air a mix of content including Maya the Bee, Plop the Gnome and Vicky the Viking between 15:30 and 19:00, and a mix of animated content, music clips and series in repeating loops thereafter.
Proximus already offers a subscription video-on-demand service in partnership with Studio 100. The Wanagogo Pass, launched in March, gives viewers access to Studio 100’s catalogue on-demand for €5.95 a month.
“Studio 100 is a little like a Belgian Disney: Maya, Heidi, Vicky the Viking, etc.: they are already making lots of children dream all over the world,” said Philip Vandervoort, chief consumer market officer, Proximus.
“We’re therefore proud today to offer families, on Proximus TV, the exclusivity of a channel that is fully dedicated to the adventures of these heroes and their ‘made in Belgium’ friends such as Bumba, Plop the Gnome, Mega Mindy, and others.”
