SFR makes Play available for free in promo offer

French service provider SFR is offering its SFR Play service free of charge for the month to mid-June to its subscribers to encourage take-up.

SFR customers have until June 10 to use the service without payment, enabling them to access 40 TV channels and the Zive subscription video-on-demand offering.

SFR mobile customers can benefit from SFR’s Extras offerings without additional payment from May 17 to June 15, giving them access to Zive, magazine offering LeKiosk, providing a choice of five titles out of 1,000, sports newspaper L’Équipe, music service Napster, travel service iCoyote and games service SFR Jeux.

SFR is also offering the channels of rival service provider Orange for free until May 22. The OCS Max, OCS City Génération HBO, OCS Choc and OCS Géants movies services will be offered in the clear until May 22.
