Zegona names Goldman Sachs exec as investment director
Zegona Communications, the UK-based owner of Spanish regional cable operator Telecable, has named Goldman Sachs executive Menno Kremer as investment director.
Kremer was previously executive director in telecoms, media and technology group at Goldman Sachs, working on a broad range of M&A deals for companies including Altice, Deutsche Telekom and Liberty Global.
Eamonn O’ Hare, Chairman and Chief Executive of Zegona, said: “We are delighted to welcome Menno to the Zegona team. We continue to see significant opportunities for additional acquisitions across the European TMT landscape, and Menno’s expertise, experience and contacts will greatly enhance our capability to pursue these new investment opportunities and drive the implementation of our Buy-Fix-Sell strategy.”
Separately, Zegona has reportedly submitted the highest bid for Spanish mobile operator Yoigo. According to Reuters, the UK company offered more than rival bidders for the TeliaSonera-owned operator.
