VoD content guide Everyflix launches in the UK
Everyflix, a new service designed to make it easier for viewers to find content to watch on streaming services like Netflix and Amazon, has gone live in the UK.
The free streaming TV and movie aggregator sends personalised alerts based on viewing preferences, with users able to select their streaming TV subscriptions and filter movies and TV shows using “extensive refinement options”.
Everyflix merges content from UK streaming TV providers Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, Now TV, TalkTalk TV, Sky Movies and Virgin Media to provide a single view of what’s available to watch.
Uers can log-in using Twitter or Facebook and filter content by genre types, Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB ratings, the year it was released, director, actor name and a number of other attributes.
“We developed the service out of frustration of spending more time looking for something to watch rather than watching the programmes or movies that actually appealed to us,” said Everyflix founder, Simon Hamblin.
“The problem with having so much content spread across a number of TV providers is the content is often hidden away in the complex apps that only seem to surface the content that the TV providers want you to watch rather than the content that you might like to watch. Everyflix solves this problem by helping viewers to easily discover content that matches your viewing preferences in one simple place.”
