Sky targets binge viewing with Sky+ update
Sky claims that the latest update to its Sky+ service will make it “even easier to binge-watch” Sky Box Set content.
Sky said that with the update, its first of 2016, it has made navigation “quicker and simpler”, allowing viewers to choose to download complete box sets to binge on.
Sky+ users can now select a ‘download all’ option to line-up a whole box set, while a ‘watch next’ feature will prompt viewers at the end of the show to continue watching the next episode.
“We’re introducing even more features that reflect the changing TV habits of our customers. Up to 95% of viewing of dramas, for example, can take place after the episode is shown live as people increasingly choose to enjoy shows on demand,” said Sky director of product development, Michele Swaine.
“We’re committed to giving customers the choice of how they enjoy the shows they love whether that’s live TV or moving from episode to episode of your favourite box set. Customers can look forward to some really exciting updates in 2016 to Sky+.”
