TV Connect names key speakers
TV Connect, the London TV conference and exhibition owned by Digital TV Europe’s publisher Informa, has unveiled the speaker line-up for this year’s event.
Key speakers this year will include Ben Pyne, Disney Media Networks’ president, global distribution, BT Sport and BT TV chief operating officer Jamie Hindhaugh, and Rhys Beer, vice-president, sports distribution and business development at NBCUniversal International.
Network operator speakers will include Joan Gillman, EVP and chief operating officer, media services, Time Warner Cable, Bob Greene, managing director of online entertainment at Liberty Global, Matthias Maurer, head of product marketing, internet and content at Deutsche Telekom, Jim Slevinsky, director of technology innovation at Telus, Brian Curtis, senior director of product management at Comcast and Fernando Garcia Calvo, head of business development, global video unit at Telefónica.
TV Connect will also have a strong line up of speakers from the content and channels world, including, in addition to Pyne and Beer, Mohammed Burhan, CEO of CNBC Arabia, Maaz Sheikh, president of Starz Play Arabia, Marc Lorber, head of UK TV at Lionsgate, Hugh Westbrook, product lead at Sky News and Murray Barnett, head of commercial broadcast and marketing at World Rugby.
Oneline entertainment executives speaking at the event also include Mark Melling ,director of AOL Video and Ben Forman, principal streaming architect at Sky.
The event will include keynote sessions on telco, pay TV and broadcast evolution, understanding the impact of millennial and multiplatform digital natives, and multiscreen monetisation and engagement.
