TeliaSonera sees TV base grow
Nordic telco TeliaSonera saw its Swedish and international TV numbers edge up in the final quarter of last year, with TV customers in Sweden rising from 713,000 to 730,000 quarter-on-quarter, and international TV subscribers rising from 890,000 to 900,000.
Only in Finland did TeliaSonera see a decline in its TV base, with numbers falling from 491,000 to 486,000 over the course of the quarter.
In Lithuania, where TeliaSonera owns leading telco Teo, TV numbers grew from 202,000 to 212,000, while in Estonia, where it owns leading telco Elion, TV subscribers grew from 171,000 to 174,000. In Denmark, its small TV base grew by 2,000 from 26,000 to 28,000.
TV ARPU in Sweden grew from SEK170 (€18.30) to SEK173, while in Denmark it grew from DKK357 (€47.80) to DKK346. In Lithuania TV ARPU increased from €8.70 to €9, while in Estonia it remained flat at €7.60.
