Beeline TV extends OTT reach with Apple TV

Russian service provider VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline brand, has launched a Beeline TV app on the fourth-generation Apple TV box.

The app enables Beeline TV subscribers to watch channels on Apple TV regardless of their domestic internet provider, enabling those who do not use Beeline’s broadband service to sign up for the TV offering.

The app includes access to 44 channels, including 12 HD services. Channels available include Discovery HD, National Geographic HD, History HD, TV 1000, Nickelodeon, Match! Sport 1 HD and Amedia

The service is available for RUB379 including tax.

VimpelCom director of business development Maria Reznik said that the company was pleased to be able to enable Apple TV users in Russia to have access to Beeline TV, including channels aimed at all the family, and said that the number of channels available would increase in the future.
